Director, Tax Controversy and Litigation Support Services

Thomas is Director of Tax Controversy and Litigation Support Services with Winbridge. Thomas has a specific focus on partnership taxation and private investment funds.  His involvement in the firm’s private equity and venture capital practice spans from industry research, thought leadership, to review of overall tax compliance.  Thomas works with funds, fund managers, and principals of fund sponsors ensuring seamless tax compliance across all levels for his client base.  His breadth of experience ranges from federal, state and local taxation of individuals and business entities, business and estate planning.

Thomas was admitted to the Ohio Bar after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law with a focus on tax, estate planning, and business law.  He also received his B.S. in Accountancy from Miami University.

While attending Cleveland-Marshall, Mr. Vanik served as Articles Editor for the Cleveland State Law Review while also working as a tax return preparer at the tax and estate planning firm Vanik & Butscher, LLP.
